The TRX suspension trainer is a great piece of equipment if used properly and with some coaching. Most videos show younger super fit people not the seniors I deal with mostly. If you talk to a fitness person and they don’t ask whether you have shoulder injuries, bursitis etc you may land up making things worse. TRX requires some shoulder strength and range of motion. I am pretty fit but have had shoulder pain for several years. I have experimented with TRX and can tell when I am close to injuring myself ( like their chest press or we would call push up). That can aggravate my already slight tear in one rotator cuff. Please be careful using in a gym and I wouldn’t buy it if your shoulders are wrecked already. There are other things you can do!
A very short but intense workout I often do in beautiful settings I find wherever I happen to be. I encourage clients to do short ones also and tailor the exercises to their ability. Without much rest you get a good cardio workout also!
